Early Nightwatch reports were technically correct and practically useless — too much noise, not enough judgment. The fix wasn’t a bigger model, it was a sharper definition of what counted as worth mentioning.
I now write the negative case first: here is what an anomaly is not. It reads oddly as a prompt, but it consistently produces better triage than describing the positive case alone.
